The spectacular Yangmigshan National Park, placed between Taipei and New Taipei City is one of the 9 parks in Taipei, in the north of Beitou. This is the only one with hot springs and volcanic geography. The fantastic views and nice weather have made this park become a fabulous summer resort of 125 hectares in classical Chinese style. You really cannot miss the 22 feet diameter clock made of beautiful flowers and the statue of Chiang Kai-Shek, the late president, just in front of it. The statue is surrounded by big cypresses that you will love to see. Apart from all this, you will have the chance to see sulfur deposits, venomous snakes, cherry blossoms and Taiwan’s tallest volcano, called Seven Star Mountain. But do not worry… It is dormant.
