Taipei Confucius Temple

In the late 1920s, the Taipei Confucius Temple was built by Wang Yi-shun as a representation of local ornamental arts and designed after the first Confucius Temple, which was created in Qufu, China. The Taipei Confucius Temple is placed on Datong District, in Taipei, and it is the only temple in Fujian style. As you will see, the monument is very simple due to Confucius’ philosophy: you will not see any images or inscriptions in the temple. This is the perfect showing of Confucius’ importance on the Chinese society, so we really recommend that you visit his amazing monument in order to seize his influence all over the years.
