National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine

Created in 1969 to honor the over 330.000 lives that were lost in the Sino-Japanese war, the National Revolutionary Martyr’s Shrine could be compared to Taihe Dian Imperial Palace, in Beijing. At the same time that you will be paying respect to all those men, during your visit you will oversee the Keelung River in Zhongshan District, as well as the impressive structures of the Hall of Supreme Harmony, where almost 400.000 people died during the Xinhai Revolution and other warlike episodes. You may also have the chance to take photos to the military guards during the change shifts, a quite surprising event taking place every hour.
